A vacuum freeze dryer is a device that removes moisture from the contents of a container by evacuating the air inside to achieve a predetermined vacuum level, specializing in drying materials under vacuum conditions. By reducing environmental pressure, the boiling point of materials decreases, enabling rapid drying at lower temperatures. This effectively prevents heat-sensitive changes that may occur at high temperatures, preserving the original properties of the materials. Items requiring drying are first frozen below their triple point temperature. Under vacuum conditions, solid water (ice) within the items directly sublimates into water vapor and is removed, achieving drying. After pretreatment, materials are transferred to a rapid-freezing chamber for freezing, then moved to the drying chamber for sublimation dehydration. Post-processing packaging occurs in the finishing workshop. The vacuum system establishes low-pressure conditions for the sublimation drying chamber, the heating system supplies latent heat for sublimation, and the refrigeration system provides the necessary cooling capacity for the cold trap and drying chamber.
